0.209 reading brings drink-driving charge for driver near Narellan, NSW

A man will face court next month after he was found driving near Narellan with an alleged blood alcohol reading of 0.209.

Police from South West Metropolitan Region Highway Patrol stopped a silver Mitsubishi Lancer on Narellan Road at Smeaton Grange, about 5.13pm yesterday (Tuesday 19 February 2019), and subjected the driver to a roadside breath test.

When the 44-year-old man returned a positive result he was arrested and taken to Narellan Police Station where a breath analysis returned an alleged reading of 0.209.

The man’s licence was suspended and he was issued a Court Attendance Notice to appear in Picton Local Court on Wednesday13 March 2019 for driving with a high-range PCA.
