  • Residents of the Pilbara region are set to benefit from the McGowan Government’s latest Budget, which will see an additional $13.8 million dedicated to specialist health services as part of the Pilbara Health Initiative over four years.

Tom Price and Newman Health Services are also set to receive a boost with the implementation of a new women’s health program.

As stated by Health Minister Roger Cook:

“Providing access to medical specialists close to home means patients are spared the stress of travelling to Perth and leaving family and community support. This major investment in Pilbara health care demonstrates how the McGowan Government is putting patients first.”

As stated by Pilbara MLA Kevin Michel:

“As well as maintaining the current program of medical specialist and obstetric service

programs at Karratha Health Campus, we will have outreach services in Roebourne, Onslow, Tom Price and Paraburdoo.
