Campaspe Shire Council has reviewed the current 2019/20 Budget and an additional surplus of $2,817,000 has been forecast, taking the overall annual surplus to $6,098,000.
In addition to this, a further $1,491,000 has been identified as savings and Council has approved its reallocation to a number of projects.
Mayor, Cr Adrian Weston said the identified savings will be used to support a range of unfunded projects that can be delivered prior to 30 June.
“Council’s robust financial reporting process supports the efficient delivery of services, programs and initiatives,” Cr Weston said.
“Savings have been identified from various areas which include greater than budgeted grant funding, savings in employee costs and the sale of surplus land.”
