There was plenty to be inspired by during Friday’s Salisbury Writers’ Festival Opening and Awards evening. The family friendly event was MC’d by The Amazing Magic Mike, who introduced fabulous keynote speaker and author Poppy Nwosu, who spoke about the passion for writing she’s had from a young age. And Poppy’s in good company – a number of budding young writers (and perhaps even future novelists!) were recognised at the event by Mayor Gillian Aldridge OAM as winners of our Short Story Competitions.
Congratulations to all winners!
