REINSW has recognised outstanding achievements, crowning the winners of its 2020 REINSW Awards for Excellence.
Now into its third decade, the REINSW Awards for Excellence is the most prestigious and respected industry awards event in New South Wales, recognising the best, bravest and brightest work across the real estate industry.
REINSW President Leanne Pilkington says this year the Awards for Excellence is bigger than ever despite the COVID-19 pandemic and this year was delivered in an exciting new virtual format in response to social distancing rules.
“We were astonished by the number of entrants into the Awards for Excellence this year. We received the highest number of entries ever which is even more gratifying as entrants were also simultaneously dealing with the fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic,” says Ms Pilkington.
“We were proud to be able to continue with the Annual Awards despite the pandemic and to fully honour our winners. Taking the event online was an exciting new adventure and as a result we were able to celebrate with members all over NSW as they tuned in from their homes and offices to join us for a fun and entertaining evening.
“Each year the calibre of entrants never ceases to amaze – with so much talent out there, it’s exciting to see the industry go from strength to strength.
“With so many deserving nominees, choosing the top professional and agency for each category, was extremely tough.
“Those who received a winner’s trophy should be incredibly proud of their achievement,” says Ms Pilkington.
This year we handed out 11 agency and 12 individual category awards. Madeline Freemantle from Leah Jay took out the brand-new Business Development Manager award.
The proudly renamed Tim Anderson OAM Residential Property Manager award (in honour of a much-loved member of REINSW) went to Maria Eveleigh from Richardson & Wrench.
The Residential Salesperson gong was awarded to Mechlenne Douaihy from Merc Real Estate and Joshua Crealy from Highland Property Agents was named Commercial Salesperson of the year.
The Individual Achievement award was given to Kristy-Elizabeth Parker from Kitty & Miles and the Buyers’ Agency of the year went to Propertybuyer.
The most prestigious award of the night, the Woodrow Weight Award, was awarded to Lynette Kimball for her outstanding contribution to the real estate industry.
“Lynette has never shied away from a challenge or a difficult situation and her unswerving belief that what she was doing was always going to be right by everyone. She is such an inspiring, valued and respected member of the profession and a well-deserved recipient,” says Ms Pilkington.
