Today’s release of the 2023-24 Survey of Trust in Australian public services shows continued strength of public confidence in government services across the country.
The Survey released by the Albanese Government shows 58 per cent of Australians have confidence in these services.
This marks the third consecutive year of stable trust levels.
The key findings of the report include:
- High satisfaction with services: Nearly three in four people (71 percent) trust the specific services they have personally used.
- Overall satisfaction with services: More than two-thirds of people (68 percent) report satisfaction with the service they receive.
- Positive service outcomes: 77 per cent of Australian are satisfied with the outcome of their interactions with public services, reflecting the APS’s success in service delivery.
The Survey results align with the recent findings of the OECD Trust in Public Institutions survey, which reported Australians trust in federal government has increased significantly from 38 per cent in 2021 to 46 per cent in 2023.
