Campaspe Libraries will be hosting the Echuca Moama Discovery Day on Saturday, 1 April between 10am – 1pm.
The day provides an opportunity for community organisations, sports clubs, service clubs, volunteer groups and not-for-profit groups to promote their activities and endeavours.
Campaspe Shire Mayor, Cr Rob Amos said the event was a great way to showcase community groups in Campaspe.
“In 2022, the Discovery Day was a great success with over 1,400 attendees. We hope to attract similar numbers and at least 60 organisations to register for this event again.”
“For any new residents in our shire, this will be a great opportunity to discover community groups to connect with. Whether you’re new to town or lived here all your life, sometimes you just don’t know what’s out there until you head along to an event like this.”
“I encourage all community groups to register to showcase their activities, and I encourage those local residents who are looking for new interests or social connections, to attend.”
“It is also a chance for our community members, whether they are new to the area or long-time residents, to investigate volunteering opportunities, which is a great way to meet new people and enhances our community spirit and connectedness,” Cr Amos added.
The event will be held outside the Echuca Library, 310 Hare Street, Echuca.
Application forms for community groups can either be picked up from any Campaspe Library or by emailing . Applications are due Friday, 17 March.
