The NSW Seniors Festival is the largest festival for seniors in the Southern Hemisphere. Goulburn will celebrate its seniors through a range of activities and events
“The festival is a way for the community to acknowledge the remarkable contributions seniors make to our region. It also gives us an opportunity to showcases what we have to offer and provides exciting events for seniors to participate in.” Said Goulburn Mulwaree Council’s Neighbourhood Aid Coordinator, Kim Sorensen.
“Another major highlight will be the ‘On the Road 65 Plus Staying Independent and Safe Workshop’. This workshop will cover safety tips and tricks for pedestrians as well. This is a free workshop, bookings are essential and can be made by contacting Council’s Road Safety Officer, Tracey Norberg, on 02 4823 4510”. Ms Sorensen continued.
Goulburn’s Seniors Festival 2023 will run from Monday 6 February until Friday 10 February and features:
- 18 stall holders as a part of the expo.
- Announcement and celebration of Goulburn Mulwaree’s Senior of the Year Award.
- Entertainment from the Goulburn Ballroom Dancers’ Group.
- Free morning tea and cake cutting.
- Goulburn Frogs Land Care Group guest speaking.
