What a year it has been.
It’s that time where we look at some of the highlights during the year to help reflect on some of our milestones and events.
From Baranduda Fields coming to life, another sculpture added to the Cultural Walking Trail, and the opening of the Belvoir Park playground redevelopment – it was certainly a jam-packed year.
January
Each year we recognise outstanding citizens and volunteers at our Australia Day awards in January and this year was no different.
Febraury
Fish hotels were placed in Belvoir Park Lake.
The hotels – cube-shaped timber structures made by Wodonga Council crews – provide homes for small native fish such as smelt and gudgeon that are risk of being eaten by larger exotic species like carp, redfin and trout.
March
Two new playgrounds were upgraded – Kosovar and Gayview Park. Lots of new play equipment added and if you haven’t checked them out, do it.
April
Wodonga Youth’s Turn Up event was a hit.
Our FReeZA crew put on a great community event promoting physical movement, good feelings and celebrating diverse cultures. Lots of great music and dance moves.
