Here it is – part two of our Year in Reivew.

From Baranduda Fields coming to life, a successful youth event, and the opening of the Belvoir Park playground redevelopment – it was certainly a jam-packed year.

A new sculpture was added to the Crossing Place Trail – Cumbungi.

Designed by local artist Glennys Briggs and constructed by Xavier Pinard, the sculpture can be found looking across to the River Deck restaurant and Albury’s Noreuil Park.

The piece draws inspiration from the Cumbungi reed found along the Murray River and its waterways.

Turtle Tour signs installed around Belvoir Park Lake.

The signs installed around the lake’s walking track encourage visitors to report turtle sightings using a mobile phone app.

The Belvoir Park Lake Turtle Tour is an initiative by the 1 Million Turtles Community Conservation Program and Wodonga Council.

Septemeber

More solar lights installed across the city. The project was delivered by council and The Living Local – Regional Grants Program.

The North East Food and Wine Festival in Junction Square was a hit. Thousands flocked to Junction Square to enjoy food, beverages and entertainment from across the Border and North East.

November

The Australian Rules Football and Netball pavilion at Baranduda Fields was completed.
