Campaspe Shire Council’s Seniors Program Grants are now open and aim to increase health, wellbeing and social connection amongst seniors, through funding of concepts that promote positive ageing and are inclusive and accessible.
Campaspe Shire Mayor, Cr Rob Amos is excited that the annual grant program is open and hopes the grants foster social connection and participation in community programs.
“Funds of up to $1,000 are eligible for projects, events or activities. As always, we’re asking applicants to think of new and creative ways to engage with our senior residents through new experiences or supporting seniors in developing new skills.”
The program is an opportunity for not-for-profit community groups, organisations and clubs to fund a seniors focused event, program or activity. Council is looking to fund projects that encourage residents from the nine groups of priority to get involved.
“We’re keen to see the ideas you come up with and look forward to the innovative projects that effectively address social isolation for seniors. Submit your application to make a positive impact on our seniors community,” Cr Amos said.
Applications must be submitted using the Seniors Program Grant application form and can be handwritten or entered online at .
Applications close Friday, 9 August. Successful applicants are expected to be announced on Friday, 6 September.
