Campaspe Shire Council is proud to announce the successful recipients of the 2024 Senior’s Program Grants. This annual program supports local organisations that are dedicated to enhancing the wellbeing, engagement, and active participation of our senior citizens.
This year, a wide range of community groups and initiatives have been awarded grants to promote inclusivity, health, and social connection among older residents in the Shire. From social clubs to health and fitness programs, the funding will directly benefit projects that foster greater independence and improve quality of life for seniors.
Campaspe Shire Council Acting CEO Michael Sharp said the grant program is part of Council’s ongoing commitment to supporting seniors.
“Our older residents play a vital role in the fabric of our community, and we are proud to support initiatives that help them stay connected, healthy, and active.
The Senior’s Program Grants are a valuable way of recognising the contributions of our seniors and ensuring they have access to a diverse range of opportunities,” Mr Sharp said.
The grant recipients were selected based on their commitment to addressing the unique needs of the senior community and their capacity to deliver meaningful outcomes. This year’s program has allocated a total of $13,000 in funding across 18 projects.
The successful recipients are as follows:
