Murray River Council has awarded $ 12,584 in community grants to help support a wide range of community projects.
Community groups and not-for-profit organisations were able to apply for up to $3,000 for projects or events under round two of the 23/24 Community Grants Program, which closed on 3 April.
Murray River Council mayor, Cr Frank Crawley said the grant program is a great way to support local projects and committees.
“Our Community Grants Program assists community organisations to deliver initiatives that benefit the broader community.”
“It’s also a great avenue to further develop partnerships between community organisations and Council, so we’re once again pleased to back some exciting community projects.”
The Assessment Panel recommended a total of six projects be funded.
