RMIT University celebrated 25 years in Hong Kong with three of its key international partners – the Vocational Training Council School for Higher and Professional Education (VTC SHAPE), Hong Kong Arts Centre and the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.
Representatives from the three partners, along with Hong Kong and Australian government officials, alumni and RMIT staff, recognised the significant anniversaries at the residence of the outgoing Australian Consul-General Ms Elizabeth Ward.
RMIT University has had a presence in Hong Kong since it first partnered with the Hong Kong Arts Centre in 1998 offering a Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art) degree.
In 2003, RMIT strengthened its presence when it partnered with VTC SHAPE offering courses in engineering, aviation and construction management.
That same year, RMIT also partnered with the prestigious Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, that at the time were headquartered in Hong Kong, to offer RMIT’s highly sought after Executive MBA program to the company’s senior level management.
The partnerships have produced over 7,500 graduates with an international perspective in fine art, engineering, aviation and construction.
