Police have charged a 26-year-old Geeveston man with motor vehicle stealing, attempted carjacking, aggravated burglary and driving offences after he was arrested at a residence in Kingston overnight.
Around 8.00pm yesterday the man reportedly stole a maroon Subaru Forester from Huonville before driving at speed on the Huon Highway towards Sandfly and Kingston.
He was allegedly involved in several incidents along the highway before being located by police in the garage of a Kingston residence.
Thankfully, no one was injured as a result of the incidents.
The man will appear in Hobart Magistrates Court later today.
