The University of New South Wales will receive funding under the MRFF’s to:
- establish a platform that can screen newborns for illnesses such as biotinidase deficiency, haemophilia, cystic fibrosis, spinal muscular atrophy and severe combined immunodeficiency
- undertake a 12-month research trial of the platform in Queensland.
