We are just weeks out from the . Whether you’re taking on 28km in one day on Sunday, 25 October, or spreading it over a week, take the opportunity to explore what our beautiful city has to offer.

To give you some inspiration, here are our top seven walking tracks that will suit all levels of fitness. Don’t forget to follow the , and consider completing your challenge at quieter times of the day.

1. 7 Bridges Walk

We may be virtual this year, but don’t let that stop from you from doing the actual 7 Bridges Walk. We recommend you start your walk in the morning to give yourself plenty of time to do a full loop. Use to plan your route which covers the Anzac Bridge, Iron Cove Bridge, the Gladesville Bridge, Tarban Creek Bridge, Fig Tree Bridge and the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

2. Manly to Spit Bridge Walk

Explore the beauty of Sydney’s shoreline with the Manly to Spit Bridge Coastal walk. You’ll get the perfect mix of the harbour, bushland, and ocean views, along with ancient Aboriginal rock engravings and stunning mansions. The walk is 10km one way and takes about three to four hours to complete.

3. The Bay Run

The Bay Run is a 7km continuous circuit around Iron Cove that passes through Rozelle, Lilyfield, Haberfield, Five Dock and Drummoyne. A walk non-stop will take just over an hour and with its flat terrain, it’s great for families. You could complete the 7 Bridges Challenge simply by doing the Bay Run four times.

4. Bondi to Coogee Walk

This iconic walk takes in five beaches along Sydney’s eastern suburbs, starting with Bondi and ending at Coogee. Not only will you get sweeping vistas of the beaches, but the 6km track includes sandstone cliffs, rock pools, parks and if you’re lucky, dolphins. Don’t worry about packing food as there are various cafes along the way. The walk takes about two to three hours to complete.

5. Coastal Track, Royal ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Park

The Coastal Track in the Royal ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Park is 26km one way and it can be done either in one full day if you’re very fit, or over two days. Alternatively, you can simply do a portion. The route includes Instagram landmarks Wedding Cake Rock and Figure 8 Pools, as well as plenty of spots for whale watching.

Coastal Track in the Royal ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Park

6. Grand Canyon track, Blackheath

Immerse yourself in nature and bask in the incredible views with a hike in one of Australia’s oldest bushwalking tracks. The Grand Canyon track near Blackheath in the Blue Mountains meanders through stunning sandstone cliffs, waterfalls and creeks. The walk is a 6.3km loop and takes about three to four hours.

7. Bouddi Coastal Walk

Running from Putty Beach to MacMasters Beach, on the Central Coast, this 8km walk will have you whipping out your phone to capture the picturesque views of the beaches, clifftops and rainforests. It will take about 4.5 hours to do a return trip.
