A woman has died after being hit by a car at Panania last month.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Peffer Street and Anderson Avenue about 8am on Thursday 22 August 2019, after reports of an injured woman who was hit by a car.
Officers attached to Bankstown Police Area Command attended and located an 81-year-old woman with serious leg and abdominal injuries.
She was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to Liverpool Hospital, where she died about 3.30pm yesterday (Saturday 31 August 2019).
The driver of the vehicle, a 44-year-old woman, was uninjured and taken to Bankstown Hospital for mandatory testing.
Police have been told that the woman was struck while crossing Peffer Street, by the vehicle which was turning right from Anderson Avenue into Peffer Street.
As inquiries into the incident continue, police are appealing for anyone with information or dashcam footage of the incident to come forward.
