A record 600 Pink Sports days will be held around the country this weekend all playing for Breast Cancer Network Australia.(BCNA)
Local clubs across sporting codes from footy to basketball and even pony clubs will be dressing in pink socks, beanies, jumpers and scarves to raise money in support of Australians affected by breast cancer.
The Frankston sporting community is dedicating its events to the late Federal MP Peta Murphy who died of breast cancer 6 months ago.
CEO of BCNA Kirsten Pilatti says the Play for Peta rounds will be very emotional.
” Peta did so much for her community and they loved her for it. She loved sport and was committed to being a part of positive change for anyone with breast cancer, her legacy lives on.”
