ABC programs have won multiple glittering gongs at the New York Festivals TV & Film Awards, celebrating distinctively Australian dramas and documentaries on the world stage.
The ABC’s award winners included gold medals for Love on the Spectrum and Australia’s Ocean Odyssey – A Journey Down The East Australian Current and a silver medal for Catalyst’s “Kill or Cure? The Story of Venom”.
The ABC’s commitment to stories for and about Indigenous Australia was recognised with a silver award for the documentary Maralinga Tjarutja and bronze for drama Total Control, the second season of which will premiere on ABC TV and ABC iview on Sunday 7 November.
The plaudits came as ABC audio programs Stuff the British Stole, Earshot and Background Briefing
