Campaspe Shire Council’s Recreation team is partnering with Disability Australia to bring the Abilities Unleashed Sports Day to Echuca.
The event will take place on Friday, 15 March from 10am to 1pm at the Echuca Stadium, bringing a range of sports to the region.
Mayor, Cr Rob Amos said the event targets one of Council’s nine groups of priority and encourages people living with a disability to get a feel for the various sport and active recreation opportunities out there.
“The event is a great way to foster community participation in a safe space. The sports that will be featured on the day include wheelchair rugby, netball and cricket.
“At the moment, there are around 40 participants registered for the day, which is a great start. We’re looking forward to seeing more of the community come together for the event.
