Child Abuse Squad detectives have charged a man with an additional eight offences relating to a tenth victim following an investigation into alleged indecent assault and sexual touching offences spanning two decades.
In March 2024, State Crime Command’s Child Abuse Squad established Strike Force Bonnefin to investigate a number of alleged indecent assaults and sexual touching incidents between 2001 and 2019.
In November 2024, an 83-year-old man was charged and remains before the courts.
Yesterday, (Tuesday 17 December 2024), the man was issued a Court Attendance Notice (CAN) for an additional eight counts of assault with act of indecency relating to a tenth victim, to appear in Downing Centre Local Court today (Wednesday 18 December 2024).
