Sex Assault Squad detectives have charged a 31-year-old man with an additional 5 offences following their investigation into fresh allegations from a 19-year-old victim.
It is alleged in January 2022 the man invited the victim to his home where he put a substance in her drink, causing her to become incapacitated before sexually assaulting her.
It will also be alleged he met the victim through an online dating site.
His new charges are:
• Stupefying in order to Commit an Indictable Offence;
• Unlawful and indecent assault;
• Two counts of Sexual Penetration without Consent; and
• Impeded another person’s normal breathing or blood circulation by blocking nose or mouth.
He is next due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court on Thursday 14 May 2022.
