Thousands of young Australians will have the opportunity to be immersed in exciting careers at the annual Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) Open Day this Saturday.
Prospective trainee officers from across the country will gain an insight into life and study at ADFA during the open day, which also highlights the wide range of opportunities in the Australian Defence Force (ADF).
ADFA Commandant, Air Commodore Jules Adams, said ADFA offered so much more than an ordinary university education and said it was an excellent pathway for people considering a military career.
“ADFA provides an excellent entry point for a career in the ADF, combining a university education with military training to equip graduates with the knowledge, skills and attributes to be a future leader in the ADF,” Air Commodore Adams said.
“The open day provides an excellent opportunity for potential applicants and their families to have all their questions answered about ADFA and learn from current ADF members about where a career in the military can take them.”
Director of Education and Training and ADFA graduate, Captain Jimmy Hawley, said the open day showcased life and study at the academy.
