Campaspe Animal Shelter is temporarily reducing adoption fees from the 21 until 29 February, encouraging residents to adopt a pet.
Campaspe Shire Mayor, Cr Rob Amos said it’s a great time to adopt a pet and there’s a range of cats and dogs at the shelter ready for new homes.
“It’s always difficult to see people surrender their animals and the shelter does a great job of rehoming the dogs and cats, hoping to find their forever homes.
“If you’ve been thinking of adopting a pet, now’s the time. The fees will be reduced for a short time, so come in and see the kittens, puppies, cats and dogs. The pets up for adoption can also be viewed on Council’s website.
“The temporarily reduced fee structure is:
- Adult dogs – $187.50
- Senior dogs – $195
- Puppies – $240
- Adult cat – $54
- Senior cat – $25
- Kittens – $86.50
“The normal adoption process and registration fees apply. Come make an appointment at the shelter and help find these furry friends a new home,” Cr Amos said.
