The Blacktown Development Control Plan 2015 Part O – (Mount Druitt CBD) was adopted by Council on 16 August 2023. It comes into effect on 13 September 2023 (Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2021 clause 14).
The new Part O of the Development Control Plan (DCP) will guide development in the Mount Druitt CBD, and supports Council’s aim to establish the Mount Druitt CBD as a mixed-use centre, activated and supported by a new residential population.
The controls established in Part O of the DCP will encourage greater activity in the Mount Druitt CBD, making it a safer place and encouraging an after-hours economy that will complement night-time cinema and hospitality activity in the Mount Druitt Shopping Centre
The draft Part O of the DCP was exhibited between 7 December 2022 and 3 February 2023. The adopted Part will be available on Council’s Blacktown Development Control Plan 2015 .
