Advance plans to restore Sydney’s reputation as an international city and make Sydney the worlds leading tourist destination if it wins seats in next week’s NSW state election according to the Advance Australia Party.
“We have great policy for returning Sydney’s status as Australia’s best city to live and visit” according to Mr Ian Chandler from Advance Australia Party “This plan includes winding back Sydney’s draconian lockout laws, developing the current Naval base at Woolloomooloo into an international cruise ship terminal, push through the development of a second international Sydney airport, implement changes to free up Sydney’s roads, develop a high speed city monorail servicing Sydney suburbs and beaches, and extend Sydney’s trading to 24 hours to bring retail and late night venue’s trading times in line with other international cities”.
Advance is fielding 15 candidates in the Legislative Council elections on March 23 after a merger and re-branding of the Building a Better Australia Party and the Motorists Party.
“Other than new toll roads, a half baked light rail and a perfectly good stadium in tatters there has been very little done to make Sydney a better place to live and visit over the last 8 years” says Mr Chandler “The roads are choked, the lockout laws have killed any nightlife, we can only park one cruise ship at a time and no one can afford to live here, its all turned very pear shaped”.
