Monto State High School students recently undertook an Ag Inspirations event in their region investigating the diverse range of career opportunities and pathways to those careers.
Agribusinesses visited over the two days were Teys Australia Biloela, Williams Stockfeeds, BMAS Biloela, Monto Veterinary Group, Bonnie Doone Beef and Salisbury Farming Enterprises. We thank these businesses for opening their doors to the students and allowing them to experience what goes on behind the scenes and what is involved in the paddock to plate process getting products ready for consumers. They also provided an insight into the variety of career pathways and opportunities their businesses provide and how each individual’s pathway was widely different.
It is very important for students to be able to ‘taste and experience’ all of the opportunities available in agriculture – if you can’t see it, you can’t be it!
