Amaia Calderón-Larrañaga Granted Funding From SFOepi

Amaia Calderón-Larrañaga has been awarded the SFOepi consolidator bridging grant for the project entitled “Multimorbidity and kidney function in old age: longitudinal trajectories and synergistic effects”. The amount granted is SEK 3,600,000 for the period 2023-2025.

“The overall aim of our project is to investigate the longitudinal trajectories and synergistic effects between multimorbidity and kidney function in old age”, says project leader , Associate Professor at the Aging Research Center (ARC), Department of Neurobiology, Care Sciences and Society at Karolinska Institutet. The final goal is to better understand the complex and dynamic evolution of people with multimorbidity and, hence, optimise their management and care.

“The present grant will be key in supporting me at the current consolidating stage of my own independent research activity and team.”

Several researchers at Karolinska Institutet are taking part in the study: , , , all at ARC, as well as from the Department of Medical Epidemiology and Biostatistics.
