Audrey Aura, a top 0.4% creator, shares what a typical day in the life is like, as an online sex worker. Audrey has over 1400 subscribers on the OnlyFans website, bringing in over $38,000 per month, and is launching a masterclass to teach others how to become successful in the industry.
“Most people think that all we do is take some racy selfies and call it a day but it truly is much more than that,” Audrey discloses, continuing to explain that in her first year on the site, she was working over 100 hours a week and didn’t take an entire day off in months. Audrey continues, “I definitely burnt myself out from overworking, which is extremely common in this business, but there is so much to do and not enough hours in the day to get it all done. I’m still recovering from overworking myself and am cautious to take more time for self care now.”
“Filming content is barely even 5% of the work, surprisingly. Most of my day is spent chatting to fans, organising and scheduling my content, and marketing on social media. In fact, creating content for my social media accounts takes up more time than the content for my actual OnlyFans,” Audrey explains. OnlyFans provides no marketing for their creators; with no home page, categories or search function, creators are left to their own devices. Most creators turn to social media to advertise their racy pages, and are often disheartened when their accounts are regularly disabled or banned due to their job title, causing them to have to start from scratch every time.
Audrey also explains her content making schedule, stating that it’s not a daily occurrence to strip off for a camera.”I spend most of my day on the couch, or sitting at my computer, usually still in my PJ’s. I sleep in until midday most days, and my deep work is done after 8pm when my toddler goes to bed. I film content and do photoshoots a couple of days each month, usually at an Air BNB. I spend a lot of time chatting to my fans about their day, or how work was, or what hobbies they’re into. Subscribers are looking for the personal experience, and that doesn’t always mean sexual engagement.”
‘The OnlyHustle: Ultimate Masterclass’ will be launching early May 2022, covering 12 topics with more than 70 lessons. It is the first coaching of it’s kind, covering everything from the basics of the trade, to the insider secrets, not leaving any small detail out.
“This job truly is like any other small business that someone may want to start. It’s exhausting, mentally draining, and takes a lot of consistency and determination, but it can be incredibly rewarding. I work harder than ever, and more hours than any past job I’ve had, but I have no regrets.”
