Twenty-eight finalists have been announced across 10 categories in the 2020 Premier’s Sustainability Awards from the largest number of entries in their history.
From volunteers and community, right through to large businesses and organisations, the awards have unearthed inspiring examples of sustainability leadership right across Victoria.
This year’s finalists include a:
- shopping centre determined to become the world’s most sustainable
- public housing project delivering energy efficiency initiatives to support vulnerable communities
- 24,000-attendee strong music festival diverting 95% of their waste from landfill.
The 2020 winners will be announced at an inspirational online ceremony, hosted by meteorologist and weather presenter, Jane Bunn, on Wednesday 16 December. The Hon. Lily D’Ambrosio, Minister for Energy, Environment and Climate Change, will join with Jane to announce the winners. Sustainability Victoria manages the Premier’s Sustainability Awards on behalf of the Premier.
It’s free to attend the ceremony and everyone is welcome.
