Congratulations to the 11 recipients of the 2024 ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Library of Australia Scholarships and Asia Study Grants.
³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Library of Australia Scholarships are available to Australian PhD students, offering recipients the opportunity to further their postgraduate research using material from the Library’s collections over a 6-week residency. The Asia Study Grants program offers academics and PhD students a 4-week residency at the Library focusing on our Asian language and Asia-related collections.
Drawing on the Library’s extensive collections to inform their projects, the 2024 recipients will use the ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Library’s unique collections to conduct research into subjects as diverse as Indonesia’s blasphemy laws, libraries and librarians in Indonesia, domestic violence in colonial women’s writings, science and the environment in Chinese children’s literature, how history of the Shoalhaven can inform culturally safe nursing care, and music of Chinese religious rituals in the 18th and 19th centuries.
