Raptor Squad officers have seized a firearm and precursors to the manufacture of methylamphetamine during a search warrant in Sydney’s west.
On Thursday (5 January 2023), officers from the State Crime Command’s Raptor Squad received information about the alleged manufacturing of methylamphetamine at a unit in Lidcombe
Acting on information, Raptor Squad officers executed a search warrant at a unit on Uhrig Road, Lidcombe, about 7pm later that day, where they located two glass cooking containers containing liquid believed to be methylamphetamine.
Specialist police from the Drug and Firearms Squad’s Chemical Operations Unit attended to assist in dismantling the scene.
Further items were located and seized including drug paraphernalia and items consistent with the manufacture of methylamphetamine. During a subsequent search of an allocated storage area, police located a double-barrel shotgun, ammunition and an air pistol.
All seized items will undergo further forensic examination.
