Police have released images as they appeal for public assistance following an alleged armed robbery in the state’s Mid North Coast.
In May 2024, officers attached to Mid North Coast Police District established Strike Force Sagittarius to investigate an alleged armed robbery in Lake Cathie.
About 10pm on Friday 3 May 2024, police were called to a business on Evan Street, Lake Cathie, following reports of an armed robbery by a male offender.
Police were told a man walked into the licenced premises, walked over to the bar area and demanded money from a 20-year-old woman and a 60-year-old woman. The man then produced a knife, threatening the women.
The man fled the scene with cash in a Honda.
No one was injured during the incident.
As inquiries are continuing police would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist.
The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 180cm tall, and was wearing a black face mask over bottom half of face, a grey hooded jumper, black trackpants, pink rubber gloves, and black shoes and carrying a number of grocery bags.
The vehicle is described as a 2007 Honda CRV with roof racks and damage to the rear left bumper and wheel arch.
