Police are appealing for information as part of an ongoing investigation into an alleged robbery and assault in Coffs Harbour last year.
About 10pm on Sunday 22 December 2022, two men parked their vehicles – a silver Holden Commodore and a white BMW sedan – in a carpark on Orlando Street, Coffs Harbour, when they were approached by two unknown men.
Those men, allegedly armed with an unknown weapon, demanded money.
A 40-year-old man was stabbed in the shoulder, and personal items were stolen from his car.
He drove himself to Grafton Base Hospital in a stable condition.
A 38-year-old man was not injured; however, his mobile phone was stolen.
Officers attached to Coffs/Clarence Police District were notified and commenced an investigation into the incident.
As inquiries continue, police wish to speak with two men who were seen in the area at the time of the incident.
They have been described as being of Aboriginal appearance and were both wearing hooded jumpers.
Investigators believe the men might be from the Kempsey area, and urge anyone with information about their identity to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
