Appeal for public assistance after incident at Seaford service station

Police from Carrum Downs are hoping to speak to a man following an incident which occurred at a service station in Seaford last month.

A white Holden Commodore station wagon was observed pulling into a service station on Frankston-Dandenong Road about 10.45am on 27 March.

The vehicle had a cancelled registration plate, OUG134, affixed to the front.

The male driver entered the store of the service station however as police approached to speak to him, he ran back to his car and closed the door.

The man ignored requests made by police to get out of the car.

Instead the man accelerated heavily causing the car to dangerously fishtail in the service station forecourt, narrowly missing the police members standing next to a petrol bowser.

The vehicle was last seen driving at a fast rate of speed north on Frankston-Dandenong Road.

Investigators have provided images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged between 30 to 40-years-old with a brown mullet, brown beard and tattoos on his arms.

At the time of the incident he was wearing a black t-shirt with a rhino on the front, dark-coloured shorts, dark-coloured sneakers and black sunglasses.
