Snowy Monaro Regional Council Mayor Peter Beer is encouraging community organisations to take advantage of an extension to the application period for the Boco Rock Community Enhancement Fund.
Applications for the latest round of funding are now open until Friday 7 August with organisations in the former Bombala and Cooma-Monaro shires able to apply.
Community groups have been given an extra fortnight to apply for funding.
Mayor Peter Beer is calling on community organisations who have an idea or project they would like to see come to fruition to submit a funding application.
“This is an exciting opportunity for groups in the former Bombala and Cooma-Monaro shires to obtain funding for projects or events that will benefit their community,” Mayor Beer said.
“The community enhancement fund has supported upgrades to community infrastructure, helped deliver events and assisted groups in providing the services we value so highly.”
The community enhancement fund has assisted dozens of organisations, including the Bombala Golf Club, Delegate Pony Club, Rotary Club of Cooma, and Nimmitabel Advancement Group.
Organisations may apply for either full funding or co-funding for their project.
Funding guidelines and application packs are available from the Bombala and Cooma council offices and on Council’s website.
