Territory women have just under two weeks left to apply for the 2022 AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award.
The Rural Women’s Award, proudly supported by the Territory Government, is an important mechanism to celebrate female leaders in rural industries, businesses and communities.
Agriculture is Australia’s fastest growing sector and the Territory Government is focused on growing the agribusiness industry as part of a goal of a $40 billion economy by 2030.
Territory women in rural industries, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, are encouraged to apply for the award. The funding from the award will help support their project, business or program.
The finalists receive a $15,000 bursary for their project, business or program, as well as access to professional development opportunities and alumni networks.
The national winner is awarded an additional $20,000 bursary, while the national runner up receives an additional $15,000.
Territory applicants have until Friday, 28 January 2022 to nominate for the award.
