Following the appointment of the NSW Fresh Milk and Dairy Advocate, the NSW Government continues to deliver on its election promise with the opening of expressions of interest (EOIs) for the Dairy Industry Advisory Panel.
Minister for Agriculture Adam Marshall has today called on dairy industry professionals passionate about growing a more profitable and sustainable industry to apply for a position on the Panel.
“The Panel has been created to assist the newly appointed Fresh Milk and Dairy Advocate, Ian Zandstra, to provide invaluable advocacy and advice and play a key role in helping to grow a stronger dairy industry in NSW,” Mr Marshall said.
“The formation of the Panel will help ensure our Advocate has all the resources and expert advice needed to obtain the best outcomes for industry.
“From farmers to processors, retailers to researchers, the Government is hoping to get a wide range of opinions and experience on the Panel to ensure industry is well represented.”
The independent Panel will be chaired by the Fresh Milk and Dairy Advocate and will consist of a cross-section of the dairy industry in NSW. It will play a key role in developing the State’s Dairy Action Plan.
Mr Zandstra said, “To find innovative solutions to the problems the industry is facing, we need a panel with diverse backgrounds and opinions.”
“Making the industry profitable once again is my top priority and, by developing a sound action plan, this Panel will go a long way to doing just that.”
EOIs for the panel open today, and will close on Saturday, November 30. To submit your EOI, please .
