Acting Public Trustee Nicolle Rantanen has been appointed as Public Trustee, Attorney-General, Vickie Chapman announced today.
Ms Chapman said Ms Rantanen had begun work as Acting Public Trustee at a time when the agency was in the midst of significant reforms.
“Nicolle Rantanen has extensive experience in both the public and private sectors – with a background that includes work at the Public Trustee, the Department of Treasury and Finance, Ernst & Young and Statewide Financial Management Services.
“She also holds a Masters of Commercial Law, an MBA and is a fellow of the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants.
“Ms Rantanen was appointed Acting Public Trustee at a time when significant reforms were underway within the agency to respond to the Independent Commission Against Corruption’s independent evaluation.
“In that time, she has provided steady leadership while overseeing the implementation of numerous measures aimed at strengthening the Public Trustee’s processes and improving their performance.
“She has helped deliver a more focussed, more efficient Public Trustee that delivers better services for some of South Australia’s most vulnerable citizens.
“I congratulate her on her excellent work to date, and look forward to her continuing to make a significant contribution in the lives of Public Trustee clients.”
