Appointments – Chair and Business member – Companies Auditors Disciplinary Board

The Albanese Government has today reappointed Ms Maria McCrossin as the part-time Chairperson to the Companies Auditors Disciplinary Board (CADB) for a one-year period and appointed Mr Michael Flynn KC as a part-time Business member of the CADB for a three-year period.

The CADB is an independent disciplinary body that receives, and reviews applications made to it by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) and the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority in respect of registered company auditors under the Corporations Act 2001.

Ms McCrossin has significant corporate legal, risk and compliance experience. Ms McCrossin was first appointed as the Chairperson of CADB in 2015.

Mr Flynn is a chartered accountant and practicing Senior Counsel with significant litigation experience and expertise in administrative and commercial law.

These appointments will continue providing the high level of skills and experience available to the CADB, to help ensure that the key sectors of our economy are effectively regulated.
