APT Launches 2026 Antarctica Adventures

New Romans

A fully chartered, ultra-luxury cruise aboard the Seabourn Venture is set to lead APT guests to the wonders of the Antarctic Peninsula in 2026.

The once-in-a-lifetime cruise headlines APT’s launch of its 2026 Antarctica and South America journeys, with a broad range of new fully escorted tour combinations available across South America.

The opulent 10-night cruise will see guests guided along a flexible itinerary in Antarctica, with an expert Expedition Team leading Zodiac adventures and shore landings which reveal the continent’s incredible landscapes, ice structures, wildlife and historic sites.

The purpose-built Seabourn Venture boasts exceptional dining experiences, diverse wellness spaces, and all-veranda, all ocean-front suites. The cruise forms part of the 15-day Antarctic Voyage tour, which is bookended by a pair of two-night stays in the Argentine capital of Buenos Aires and also includes an exploration of Tierra del Fuego ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Park near Ushuaia.

The journey is available from A$20,995/NZ$23,495 per person, twin share in a Veranda suite, including savings of up to $4,800 per couple. For those booking suite upgrades, additional savings are available, including free Business Class flights for selected suites.

Guests can extend their holiday on the 29-day Antarctic Voyage with South American Discovery, which is on offer from A$34,695/NZ$38,995 per person, twin share, including applicable savings. Following stays in Peru’s Lima and the Sacred Valley, guests will visit the New World Wonder of Machu Picchu before stays in Cusco, Lima (for one more night) and Buenos Aires.

After the Antarctic Voyage, return to Buenos Aires for a further two nights followed by a two-night stay at the Gran Meliá Iguazú – the only hotel within Iguazú ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Park – where a sommelier-led wine tasting awaits. Guests will visit Iguazú Falls from both sides of the Argentina-Brazil border, then finish the tour with three nights in Rio de Janeiro.

The 20-day Antarctic Voyage with Brazil Highlights (from A$27,795/NZ$31,195 per person, twin share, including applicable savings) follows the same itinerary from Buenos Aires to Rio de Janeiro, while the 18-day Antarctic Voyage with Chile combines the Seabourn cruise and Buenos Aires stays with three nights in Santiago and a visit to the World Heritage-listed city of Valparaíso.

For the ultimate South American holiday, guests can choose to set out on the 36-day Antarctic Voyage with South America and Galápagos Islands tour. A night in Guayaquil prepares guests for a three-night Galápagos cruise aboard the brand-new, luxurious MC Hermes, delighting in a near one-to-one crew-to-guest ratio.

Naturalist guides lead daily adventures through the archipelago’s rich ecosystems before a return flight to the mainland and three-night stay in the Ecuadorian capital of Quito. The South America Discovery from Lima to Rio de Janeiro rounds out the comprehensive holiday. The in-depth journey is on offer from A$55,995/NZ$63,045 per person, twin share, including applicable savings.

Product Manager Kelly D’Aucourt says the broad range of tours provide guests with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

“We are thrilled to launch our full program of land touring through South America in conjunction with the Antarctica expedition cruise on board ultra-luxe Seabourn Venture,” D’Aucourt said.

“Our comprehensive and varied itineraries will allow our guests to discover so much of the diversity of South America, alongside the magical and unique wilderness of Antarctica.
