Bateman Architects has been appointed to design the first stages of the McGowan Labor Government’s $35 million redevelopment at Rossmoyne Senior High School.
A new two-storey building including classrooms and the school library will be a significant part of the main upgrade.
Additional science laboratories, STEM classrooms and new changerooms adjacent to the existing sports hall will also feature as part of the new facilities.
Rossmoyne Senior High School opened in 1968 and quickly established its reputation for excellence in secondary education.
These upgrades will complement the school’s existing buildings while providing a contemporary environment to enhance students’ learning.
As stated by Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery:
“These important upgrades will make sure that staff and students have access to greater facilities that support the school’s teaching and learning programs.
“It’s always exciting to get a first look at what new school facilities will eventually become, and I can’t wait to see what the architects have in store here.”
As stated by Riverton MLA Dr Jagadish (Jags) Krishnan:
“We take great pride in the record of our schools in Riverton, and I’m excited to know that such a key election commitment of mine is progressing.
“Rossmoyne Senior High School has a fantastic track record of student success, and this redevelopment will enhance facilities and services for students and their families.”
