Armed offender arrested at St Clair, South Australia

A quick response by Western District Police led to the arrest of an armed offender at Woodville North this morning.

Police responded to a hold-up alarm at a service station on Torrens Road, Woodville North just before 11am on Wednesday 26 January.

It will be alleged a man entered the service station and threatened the attendant with a knife. He left empty handed and was last seen heading along Woodville Road.

Fortunately, no staff were physically injured during the robbery.

Patrols arrived within minutes and located a suspect nearby in St Clair.

The 18-year-old St Clair man was arrested and will be charged with aggravated robbery. He will be refused police bail and is expected to appear in court tomorrow.
