Armed robbery appeal at Bundaberg

Detectives are appealing for public assistance following the armed robbery of a licenced premises in Bundaberg last week.

On Monday May 2 around 1.30am a man entered the Targo Street venue armed with a large knife, brandishing it at staff while making demands for money.

The employees complied and the man stole a sum a money, before fleeing on foot through the carpark at the back of the venue and continuing south passed mixed retail businesses.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, 170cm tall, proportionate build, in his 30’s with an Australian accent.

He was wearing a maroon long sleeved jumper with the hoodie on, a black face mask and black tracksuit pants. He was wearing distinctive black ‘Converse’ brand runners with white contrast laces and was carrying a black backpack.

Police are appealing for motorists and businesses along Targo, George, Burnett, Curtis and Goodwin Streets and Normanby Square to check dashcam and CCTV between 1:00am and 2.00am and come forward with any sightings.

Anonymous reports about the man’s identity can also be made.
