Northern Territory Police have arrested a 23-year-old man following an assault on two women at a residence in Katherine last night.
About 6.40pm police were notified of a domestic disturbance at a Katherine address where it was reported the offender was armed with a gun.
General duties officers attended the scene and located the offender who was hiding at a nearby residence.
The man was arrested without incident and arrested without incident.
The residence was searched, resulting in the seizure of an imitation hand gun, a less then trafficable quantity of illicit substance, other drug paraphernalia and unsecure ammunition.
An uninvolved resident of the premises also had firearms seized as a result.
The 23-year-old man remains in police custody and is expected to face Katherine local court on Tuesday 2 April 2024.
