Arrest – Aggravated robbery – Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police have arrested an 18-year-old man in relation to an aggravated robbery that occurred in Alice Springs last month.

Around 1.30am on Sunday 27 October, police received reports of five offenders unlawfully entering a licensed premises on Palm Circuit in Ross. The offenders allegedly armed themselves with edged weapons located inside the premises, threatened staff, and stole cash from a till.

A crime scene was declared, and Southern Investigations commenced investigations.

On Thursday 28 November, members from Southern Investigations located and arrested an 18-year-old man. During the arrest, the offender allegedly assaulted two police officers and resisted police in the execution of their duty.

He was conveyed to the Alice Springs watch house and is expected to be charged with:

  • Aggravated Robbery
  • 2 x Assault Police
  • Resist Police

Investigations are ongoing to identify the remaining offenders.
