Northern Territory Police have arrested four youths in relation to multiple property offences that occurred overnight in the Greater Darwin Region.

Shortly before 4am, a residence in Bellamack was unlawfully entered, and a Subaru XV was stolen from the property. A short time later, the stolen Subaru was involved in an unlawful entry in Nightcliff, during which a Nissan X-trail was stolen. Following this unlawful entry, both vehicles were involved in a further unlawful entry at a licensed premises, during which a large quantity of alcohol was stolen.

CCTV Operators were quick to action and began tracking the stolen vehicles around the Darwin region. At 5:20am, both vehicles were sighted in Malak, with the stolen Nissan X-Trail crashing on Chambers Crescent and the occupants entering into the stolen Subaru. CCTV Operators continued to track the Subaru, which was involved in a Police pursuit heading towards Palmerston.

The stolen vehicle continued driving around Palmerston for some time before being dumped in bushland in Bellamack. A cordon was implemented around the stolen vehicle, and with the assistance of the Dog Operations Unit, a 16-year-old male and female youth were both arrested, hiding in thick bushland.

In a separate incident just after 3am, a Toyota Prado was stolen from a residence in Rapid Creek. This vehicle was used in a ram raid at a business in Anula just after 4am, during which a large quantity of alcohol was stolen, with the vehicle later being abandoned in Karama.

Strike Force Trident members investigating the incident arrested two male youths aged 12 and 13 years old shortly after the ram raid, with further arrests anticipated.

The four offenders remain in police custody and are expected to be charged later today.
