Applications are open for the General Manager of the Arthur Gorrie Correctional Centre, to lead operations on completion of its transition to QCS operation as part of Operation Certitude.
From July 1 2020, Arthur Gorrie will operate under a QCS model, and the agency is seeking a new Chief Superintendent to lead the largest remand centre in Queensland.
The successful applicant will continue to lead the prison through the transition from private to public operation, ensure service delivery, and introduce operational process change.
Operation Certitude lead, Deputy Commissioner James Koulouris said the role was an opportunity for an experienced leader to help shape the future of QCS as a forward-thinking top tier public safety agency.
“The work to transition the Arthur Gorrie Correctional Centre from private to public operation is well underway, and we are looking for a responsive leader to operationally manage the prison as part of one of the most complex projects in our organisation’s history.
The new General Manager will be responsible for the smooth transition of an existing and new workforce under QCS, and creating an environment that builds capability and holds accountability to ensure community safety.
