Global law firm Ashurst has advised Sydney Metro on the over station developments above Crows Nest Station. Crows Nest is one of six new stations for the Sydney Metro City & Southwest project, which extends new metro rail from Chatswood, under Sydney Harbour, through the Sydney CBD to Bankstown.
The Crows Nest over station development consists of two new buildings above the new metro station, including a 21-storey commercial office building and a 17-storey residential building, together with a retail offering.
Partner Laura Hillhouse commented:
“Crows Nest Station is an exciting project that will improve public transport options and connectivity for local residents and businesses, with the new over station developments playing a key role in the activation of the metro station and broader precinct. Ashurst is proud to have acted for Sydney Metro for the past five years on their infrastructure and property development projects to assist in making this city-transforming project come alive.”
The Ashurst team was led by partner Laura Hillhouse, who was assisted by: partners Olivia Lau and Chris Campbell, counsel Melinda Harris, senior associates Rhiannon Evans and Susannah Lace, and associates Philippa Lo, Charles McDonald and Dani French (Transport and infrastructure); partner Rebecca Dixon and senior associate Emily Andrews (Planning, Access and Environment); partner Costa Koutsis and senior associate Elke Bremner (Tax); partner Murray Wheater and associate Briana Ireland (Corporate transactions); and partner Adam Firth and senior associate Rani Krechster (Dispute resolution).
